International Yoga Day was observed on 21st June of every year across the globe. Yoga day came into existence in 2015 after being declared unanimously by the United National General Assembly (UNGA). Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India. Yoga also helps in establishing harmony between the body and the mind of an individual. This is one of the six Astika schools of Hindu philosophical traditions. Due to the Corona Virus pandemic and to ensure lockdown limitation and social distancing this International Yoga Day of this year has been pushed indoors. The theme of this year's International Yoga Day is “Yoga for Well-being”.
