Difference b/w Front-end Web Development and Back-end Web Development

Updated: Dec 19, 2020

. Front-end is the part of the website that users can see and interact with such as the graphical user interface (GUI) and the command line including the design, navigating menus, texts, images, videos etc. Whereas the back-end is the part of the website users cannot see and interact with.

. Front-end refers to the client side model of the application whereas the back-end refers to the server-side model of the application.

. The visual aspects of the website that can be seen and experienced by users are termed as front-end. On the other hand, everything that happens on the background can be attributed as back-end.

. Languages used for front-end are HTML, CSS and JavaScript while those used for back-end include Java, Ruby, Python, .Net etc.
