72 Families Of Delhi And 17 Other Delivery Boys Being Quarantined After A Delivery Boy Test Positive

72 Families of South Delhi have been Quarantine after a Delivery Boy associated with a famous Pizza Chain in Malviya Nagar has been detected as Corona Positive. According to the District Magistrate BM Mishra, a delivery boy of a Famous Pizza chain in Malviya Nagar is tested positive due to which all his colleagues at the outlet and 72 other families of South Delhi which have taken delivery from that outlet have been Quarantined as a precautionary measure. The said delivery boy of the Pizza Outlet is undergoing treatment at a hospital while the other persons who come in his contact are being monitored on a daily basis.
Further more the Pizza Outlet sources say that some of their orders were also delivered by Zomato delivery boy which is tested as negative. So, as a precautionary measure, the restaurant has now suspended all its operations for the time being. This pizza delivery boy resident of Savitri Nagar area in South Delhi is showing symptoms of Covid-19 virus infection for last 20 days. When he tested finally on April 14, his report is detected positive of Covid-19 infection due to which he is now admitted in a Government Run RML Hospital of Connaught Place, Central Delhi.
72 families in Malviya Nagar, Hauz Khas and Savitri Nagar have been identified where the Pizza delivery boy has visited recently in the past 20 days. These all families have been Quarantine as a precautionary measure. The other seventeen colleagues who came in contact with that delivery agent have been quarantined at a facility in Chhattarpur. This case has raised a concern to all those people who are dependent on home delivered food to tide them over through the extended lockdown. The official also say that the delivery boy doesn’t have any travel history, who suspect he may have caught the Covid-19 infection while delivering food to an infected family.
